Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA) is holding a big concert after a hiatus of two years. The three-day long open air rock concert will start on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr at the Jamuna Future Park Mall in Bashundhara. A total of 24 bands — eight bands each day— will perform at the event which will begin at 5pm and continue until midnight.
The concert will be shown live on Jamuna TV.
Ayub Bachchu, founder of LRB and one of the leaders of BAMBA, said: “This is going to be a gigantic one, and we expect to receive a huge response from the audience. It is also thrilling that people will get to see the performance live on TV.”
Asking about the two year gap, Bachchu said: “Well, just because we did not arrange any concerts does not mean that we were inactive. We took time to fix many issues and sat for planning. Now some big things are coming on the way.”
“Just right after the Eid, there is a good news for the upcoming bands. The bands will get an opportunity to participate in live audition in front of the crowd. So, the people will be able to pick their favourite ones.”
LRB is going to play in the Eid concert on the concluding day of the festival. “It is always fun to have gigs with the founder members of BAMBA. I love to listen to their music besides performing.”
The featuring bands are Souls, Feedback, Renaissance, Nogor Baul, Miles, LRB, Maqsood O’ Dhaka, Warfaze, Dolchut, Aurthohin, Shironamhin and Nemesis.
