A Korean sterilisation machine manufacturer has donated ten advanced fog machines to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) as part of its corporate social responsibility.
Earlier this week, the Korean company, IZ Fog, in collaboration with the commercial arm of Embassy of the Republic of Korea (KOTRA) held a programme to formally hand over the fog machines to the two city corporations.
At the ceremony, IZ Fog Chief Executive Officer Bae Sun-Yong handed over ten fog machines (five for each city corporation) to the city corporations’ authorities.
Bae said: “Hoping that this machine can be a small help in eradicating those harmful insects and improve national health of Bangladesh in which IZ Fog are present.”
KOTRA Resident Trade Representative Hur Jin-hak said the contribution displayed the commitment of Korean companies in Bangladesh, rather than just doing business.
DSCC Chief Health Officer Brigadier General M Abdullah-Al-Harun told the Dhaka Tribune: “The Korean company has given a total of 10 fogger machines to both of the city corporations, and each of the cities has got 5 machines.”
