Bappa's new solo album out in the market

Bappa Mazumder’s 10th solo album “Jani Na Kon Montore” was launched through a formal programme on Wednesday at a restaurant in Baily Road. A total of eleven songs and an instrumental track composed by the talented artist is featured in the album, released under the banner of Girona Bangladesh.

The programme was quite an affair with the presence of the leading stars of the music industry like Shankar Sawjal, Fahmida Nabi, Kona, Konal, Elita Karim and many others. Bappa and the invited guests repeatedly stressed on the issue of piracy and urged to the audience to buy original CDs.

Bappa, who is releasing his solo album after a hiatus of two years, told the Dhaka Tribune: “When I feel that I am done with several good pieces which are going to be loved by the audience, I put these in my album. I am very particular about my work, since my fans have a lot of expectations from me.”

A song written by Sanjeeb Choudhury, Dolchut’s deceased member is placed in the track list while other songwriters include Bappa Mazumder, Russell O Neel, Niaz Ahmed Angshu, Masum, Rana, Rabiul Islam Jibon, Shahan Kabondho and Joy Shahriar. The rock-melody numbers cover subjects like romance and social reality.
