At least 50 people, including women, have been injured in a clash over previous enmity at Dariapur village of Nizampur union under Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday.
When contacted, OC Nazim Uddin of Habiganj Sadar police station confirmed about the incident.
Of the injured, 20 have been admitted to Habiganj Sadar Hospital in critical condition, he said.
Locals said the clash erupted between the people of Rajab Ali and Abdus Samad of Dariapur village over establishing supremacy in the area.
Both groups engaged in a fierce fighting with local weapons that left 50 people injured from both sides, said witnesses.
