A Narayanganj court has awarded death penalty to three persons for killing a woman and her daughter.
The death row convicts are Abdul Malek, Adbus Salam and Omar Faruk.
The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Mizanur Rahman pronounced the verdict on Wednesday afternoon, two years after the mother and her daughter were killed.
Earlier on August 16, 2012, Saudi expatriate Ahmed Ali's wife Mabiya Akhter and their daughter Sadia Akhter were murdered at their house in Paikparha area of Narayanganj.
A murder case was filed against several people.
State Additional Public Prosecutor K M Fazlul Hoque expressed satisfaction over the verdict.
