Bangladeshi brutally murdered in Saudi

A Bangladeshi receptionist in a hotel was brutally murdered by an Egyptian resident pilgrim for advising him against using the cold drinking water for ablutions, the Arab News reported.

According to official sources, Mohammed Imran, a Bangladeshi expatriate hailing from Lakshmipur district in Bangladesh, working as a receptionist in a hotel near the Grand Mosque in Makkah was murdered by an Egyptian expatriate in a dispute regarding the use of drinking water for ablutions.

The Egyptian resident pilgrim was allegedly using the water dispenser inside the reception hall for making ablutions for the evening prayer. The deceased objected to this and advised the pilgrim to use the toilet instead for the purpose.

The Egyptian pilgrim came back later with a sharp knife and stabbed the receptionist in the chest which resulted in his death, sources said.

The brother of the deceased was also present at the site of the incident and attempted to catch the accused however failed. Police are looking for the killer, according to an official source.
