At least three people have been killed and three others injured as a lorry ran a human hauler over in Saltgola area under Bandar police station in the port city on Friday morning.
Of the deceased, two are identified as Farida Begum and Kafil Uddin.
Witnesses said a lorry ran a human hauler over around 8:30am, leaving one people dead on the spot and five other passengers of the human hauler injured.
Later, Farida and Kafil succumbed to their injuries at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Bandar police station Sub-Inspector Abu Musa said: “Injured Rasfique, Ashish and Sumi are undergoing treatment at CMCH.”
