At least 40 people were injured yesterday in a clash over land dispute at Hurgaon village in Sadar upazila.
According to sources, there had been a long standing dispute between Abdul Matin and Shawkat Ali in the village over ownership of a piece of land.
On the day, supporters of the two got locked in a clash with local weapons over the issue, leaving 40 injured from the both sides.
On information, police went to the spot and brought the situation under control. The injured were admitted to Habiganj Sadar Hospital.
