Railway service of Chittagong has been resumed follwing a halt on Wednesday .
Station Manager Abul Kalam Azad has confirmed about the restoration of the railway service to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said the service resumed around 1:15pm.
Earlier in the day, the railway communication of Chittagong with the other parts of the country has been suspended after five bogies of an oil-carrying wagon got derailed at Fouzdarhat railway station in Chittagong on Wednesday morning.
Following the derailment, a four-member probe committee has been formed to investigate the incident. Divisional Traffic Officer Zakir Hossian has lead the committee.
