The bodies of two Bangladeshi siblings Swapan and Milon, who were killed in a missile attack at their residential camp in Benghazi city of Libya, arrived home early Friday.
A flight of Turkish Airlines carrying the two bodies landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 5:30am, said Anwar Jahid, assistant director of Wage Earners’ Welfare Fund of the Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry.
Md Mohsin Chowdhury, director of Wage Earners’ Welfare Fund, received the bodies and handed those over to the deceased’s family members.
The family was given Tk35,000 for each of the victims for their burial and transportation, said Anwar Jahid, assistant director of Wage Earners’ Welfare Fund of the ministry.
On June 21, Swapan and his younger brother Milon, sons of Abdul Kuddus Shayal of Shariatpur district were killed in a missile explosion at a residential camp of water purification plant in Libya's port city of Bengazi.
