An unknown assailant tossed a hand grenade into a coffee shop in the northern city of Tripoli as the customers of the shop were eating during the fasting hours.
Four cafe-goers were wounded in the attack at the Badr Abu Makieh Cafe on Abdul-Hamid Karami Street in the Tripoli neighborhood of Tabbaneh on Wednesday, a Lebanese daily reported.
Muslims began observing the holy month of Ramadan on June 29 during which they fast from dawn to dusk.
One of the wounded was in critical condition, accoring the the report.
