Lana Del Rey appeared to be back on form as she took to the iconic Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on Saturday. The 28-year-old performed a medley of her greatest hits to the crowd, taking a moment here and there to puff on a cigarette.
The singer took to the stage wearing a bright psychedelic dress and hoop earrings, in contrast to her customary white stage outfits as she performed a set that spanned her career. A crew member from the side of the stage then provided Del Rey with a cigarette for “Blue Jeans,” which the singer used as a prop during the performance, placing it in her mic stand and taking a single drag when the song was over.
Recently, the singer had cast bikers in the music video of her track “Ride,” and said: “The reason why bikers and biker culture is so important to me is that we have the same principle in mind, freedom and staying free. For them that means being on two wheels on the road, which is why that’s a recurring motif for me.”
Del Ray, who is currently single, revealed she needs a more mature boyfriend to give her the intellectual stimulation. “Knowing what I’ve wanted to do for so long, and being tamed in my own way for so long, the person I’m looking for is a more serene, intelligent and probably an older figure,” she added.
