A prisoner of Jhenaidah jail has died at sadar hospital early Tuesday.
The deceased is Monirul Islam Sheikh, 28, son of Shirajul Islam Sheikh.
Jail Superintendent Iqbal Hossain said: “Monirul was arrested and sent to jail in a narcotic case on June 25.”
“He was attacked by anaemia around 11pm on Monday. He was admitted to Jhenaidah sadar hospital where he died around 1am,” he said.
