At least one passenger has been killed and 20 others have been injured as a bus of Shyamalee paribahan plunged into the roadside ditch in Jowarinala area under Ramu upazila in Cox's Bazar.
The deceased is Jahera Begum, wife of Siraj, of Cox's Bazar Sadar.
Officer-in-Charge of Ramu police station, Saikul Islam told the Dhaka Tribune: “The bus fell in a roadside ditch as it collided with a auto-rickshaw and the driver lost his control over the steering at 4:30pm, leaving 21 people injured.”
“The injured were taken to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital where Jahera died while undergoing treatment.”
