The daily Shokaler Khabor Chief Reporter Saif Islam Dilal and the daily Sun Senior Reporter Shamim Jahangir have been elected President and General Secretary respectively of Chittagong Journalists’ Forum Dhaka (CJFD) for one year.
Chief Election Commissioner and senior journalist Anis Alamgir announced the 13-member new committee of CJFD after its AGM at Jatiya Press Club on Friday. The other office bearers are vice president Mujib Masud (daily Jugantor), joint general secretary Shibu Kanti Das (daily Purbokone), finance secretary Tawhidur Rahman (ETV), office, publicity and publication secretary AKM Moinuddin (UNB) and sports and cultural secretary Momena Akhter.
Executive members of the committee are Mustafa Kamal (UNB), Anup Khastagir (BSS), Kader Gani Chowdhury (daily Amar Desh), Jihaj Uddin Nipun, Moazzem Hossain Rokon (BSS) and M Saim Tipu (daily Kaler Kontho).
