The per-scheduled meeting between BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has begun at Hotel Sonargaon in the capital on Friday morning.
The meeting starts around 10:15am.
Among others, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Khaleda's Advisers Shamser Mubin Chowdhury, Reaz Rahman and Sabeh Uddin Ahmed and BNP Standing Committee Member Abdul Moin Khan are present in the meeting.
Earlier on Tuesday night, Khaleda Zia's press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan Sohel told the journalists about the meeting. Sushma Swaraj arrived Dhaka on Wednesday on a three-day official visit.
During her visit, Sushma held talks with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Bangladeshi counterpart Mahmood Ali.
She will also call on the president. The Indian minister will meet opposition leader Rawshan Ershad and two advisers of the prime minister, Gowher Rizvi and Mashiur Rahman, on Friday morning.
