Colleges too remain off from June 29-Aug 6

The colleges of the country will remain closed from June 29 to August 6.

The education ministry has issued an order signed by Subodh Chandra Dhali, deputy chief information officer, regarding the vacation during the month of Ramadan on Wednesday afternoon.

However, the public examinations and admission procedures will be out of the vacation.

According to the order, all government, non-government colleges, government aliya madrasas, TT colleges, government commercial institutions and equivalent educational institutions will remain closed from June 29 to August 6 on the occasion of the upcoming Ramadan, Juma-tul-wida, Shab-e-Qadar and Eid-ul-Fitr.

Earlier on Tuesday, the education ministry issued an order declaring that the schools will remain closed from June 29 to August 6.

On June 16, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina ordered to keep the educational institutions closed during Ramadan, rejecting the proposal of the education minister to continue classes until Ramadan 10.
