A case has been filed against 22 persons naming 15 activists of Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal over the murder of a Jatiya Party leader in Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra.
Arifur Islam Rahat was chopped to death by miscreants in Talora Bazar area on Tuesday night.
Rahat's brother Shahid Ali Shahid filed the case with Dupchanchia police station.
Dupchanchia police station Officer-in-Charge Reaz Uddin Ahmed said four persons were arrested till Tuesday night in connection with the murder.
The arrestees are: prime accused of the case Emdadul Hoque, Chhatra Dal activist Nurunnabi Rimon, Jubo Dal activists Tarek and Anwarul.
“Following previous feud, some local leaders, activists of Juba Dal, a youth front of BNP, swooped on Arifur with locally made weapons at a tea stall at 7pm on Tuesday, leaving him injured seriously," the OC said.
Later, he was rushed to Dupchanchia Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
