Shahiduzzaman Selim juggles four wives

Shahiduzzaman Selim who bagged the National Film Award in the category of Best Actor in a Negative Role is married to four women. But not in real life; he did it for a special six-episode serial titled “Niyamot O Tar Bibigon” which is scheduled to air during Eid.

Selim is portraying the title role while both veteran and young actors assembled for the drama. Shampa Reza, Bijori Barkatullah, Aporna and Urmila Srabonti Kar played the four wives in the mini series.

The drama is written by Moin Ahmed and directed by Aniruddho Rassel. About the plot, Selim said: “An exceptional plot for a TV drama is rare now-a-days. ‘Niyamot o Tar Bibigon’ is a fantastic story. The audience is bored with the redundant stories of all the TV serials that are aired at present and I can vouch that they will enjoy this particular plot.”

Shampa Reza was asked about the drama and she said: “At this stage of my career I rarely act in TV plays, but Moin’s story overwhelmed me and I carried out the role passionately.”

Youngsters Aporna and Urmila are excited about acting with gifted stars like Selim, Shampa and Bijori. Other actors of the drama include Intekhab Dinar, Majnun Mijan and Moin Ahmed.
