USPYRM leaders demand justice over Bihari killings

The Bihari leaders of Urdu Speaking Peoples Youth Rehabilitation Movement (USPYRM) have demanded immediate trial over the Kalshi incidents to the Junior Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

A 10-member team led by USPYRM President Md Sadakat Khan have met with Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at the ministry on Wednesday.

The USPYRM leaders also submitted a list of 50 to 60 suspects involved in the killing.

The minister assured the leaders about justice over the Kalshi incident.

Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said: “Those who are involved in the Bihari killing incidents will be brought under trial by proper investigation.”

At least 10 people were killed and several others injured in a clash that took place at Kalshi in the capital’s Mirpur area under Pallabi police station on June 14, a day after Shab-e-Barat night, a holy night for the Muslim community.

Six cases have been filed in connection with the Bihari camp killings on Sunday.
