A Feni court has placed the three accused in the Fulgazi upazila chairman Ekramul Haque murder case on fresh remand.
Of them, Abu Bakar has been placed with 5-day remand and Kaiser and Paban with 2-day each.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Khairul Amin has passed the order after police produced them before the court on Sunday morning.
Abul Kalam Azad, investigation officer of the case, also officer-in-charge of Feni Model police station, produced them before the court, seeking a 7-day remand for Abu Bakar and 5-day remand for Paban and Kaiser.
On May 20, a group of criminals killed Ekram by shooting and setting fire to his vehicle in front of witnesses at the Academy Road in Feni.
Following the incident, police have arrested 24 people including Jihad Chowdhury, an alleged mastermind and joint secretary of Fulgazi upazila AL unit, and BNP leader Mahtab Uddin Chowdhury Minar, the alleged financier.
