'Imran no more Moncho spokesperson'

A group, claiming itself a part of Gonojagoron Moncho, has relieved Imran H Sarker, the convener of the anti- war criminal platform, of the spokesperson role temporarily.

The faction has also formed a five-member prolocutor panel to conduct the activities of Gonojagoron Moncho from now on.

Kamal Pasha, who claimed to be the organiser of Gonojagoron Moncho, made the announcement at a press conference held under the banner of Gonojagoron Moncho Activists and Organisers in Shahbagh at 12noon.

Kamal Pasha said: “We relieved him as the spokesperson of the organisation and from now on none of his statements will be counted as the statement of the Moncho.

A five-member prolocutor panel will work as the mouthpiece of Gonojagoron Moncho. Also an interim team will create a draft of party’s mechanism which will be approved by the activists all over the country,” he added.

“Soon we will disclose the name of the panel members.”

He further said Gonojagoron Moncho was set to organise a National Activists Conference.

He said the Moncho was trying to make a list of the organisations that helped them in various ways in order to maintain good relations with them.

Earlier on April 6, the same gorup “expelled” Imran H Sarker, the spokesperson for Moncho, declaring him “unwanted” in the platform.

The move came within days after the activists of Moncho and Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan locked into clash that left two Moncho activists injured.

The organisation, Gonojagoron Moncho Activists and Organisers, has been formed jointly by Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan and Muktijoddha Projonmo.
