Charge-sheets have been filed against over 700 BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami activists including a newly-elected upazila chairman in Dhupchanchia upazila, Bogra.
The charge-sheets have 12 cases of arson and attack during March, 2013, the incident of visualising Jamaat leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee ‘on the moon’, Dhupchanchia police station Officer-in-Charge Riazuddin Ahmed said on Friday.
One among those mentioned is Chairman Abdul Goni Mondol, who has been recently elected from Dhupchanchia upazila in the upazila poll.
Among others are Talora municipality Mayor and municipality unit BNP Secretary Abdul Jalal and Upazila Jamaat Rokon Nazmul Islam.
