RCSC celebrates its 40th foundation anniversary

A colourful program was held at Russian Center of Science & Culture in Dhaka on Friday, 28 March to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Russian Center of Science & Culture in Dhaka. The program was attended by members of Bangladesh-Russia Friendship Society, Soviet/Russian Alumni association, University professor and cultural activists, Russian language students, Russian compatriots in Dhaka, Russian Embassy diplomats, media personalities as well as representatives from RCSC affiliated partner clubs & organisations.

A colourful cultural programme was held in the last part of the programme. Graduates from Soviet /Russian University Gazi Mizan, Syeda Shamsun Naher Jolly and Tanvir Ahmed Bhuiya Jewel sang Russian and Bangla songs. Quazi Adelina Billur and Quazi Adreana Billur performed famous Russian dance Kalinka while aspiring students of the dance department of Bangladesh academy of fine arts performed one Russian and three different Bangladeshi dance numbers under the guidance of Natalia Demina and BAFA teacher Farhana Chowdhury Baby.

Alexander G Chesnokov, deputy head of its head office in Moscow “ROSSOTRUDNICHESTVO” – (Federal agency for affairs with Commonwealth of Independent states Compatriots Residing abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation) was present as chief guest while  Architect Yeafesh Osman, state minister for science and technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Alexander A Nikolayev, ambassador of Russian Federation to Bangladesh were present as special guests on this occasion.
