Turkey 'blocks' YouTube for 'leak'

Turkey has blocked access to YouTube after a possible leak of discussion relating to military operations in Syria.

A local court issued the suspension order a day after ban on social networking website Twitter.

The local telecom authority said it had taken “administrative measure” against YouTube, but another report suggested that talks were underway, BBC reported.

Some users could access the site while others found it blocked.

Earlier, what appeared to be a leaked audio recording of Turkish officials discussing Syria appeared on YouTube, what could not be verified.

It related to discussion of possible military operations which was apparently attended by Turkey's intelligence chief, foreign minister and deputy head of armed forces.
