The artist’s debut show has indeed caught the attention of the viewers that showcases his passion about sculptures as many of his paintings are based on sculptures.

About the use of the colour blue, the artist said: “At the moment, I am highly influenced by the colour blue. This is the reason my canvases are highly inclined towards this colour. There are a lot of depictions of this colour.

But my narration encompasses a broader concept. When I think of blue, I think of the vast open sky and the oceans. To me, blue is serene, it is beautiful and it represents all that is lively and beautiful. It was my particular scheme to see trees, stones, birds in the colour blue.

“In my previous work, poems were written on my canvas. In the memory of that work, I chose the title of this exhibition.”

About his artworks the artist said: “Apart from painting landscapes, I also represent last year’s issues on Savar Tragedy and the Ramu incident.”
