Two people have been crashed under the wheels of train in separate incidents at Mirsarai upazila in Chittagong on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Amzad Hossen, 24 and Rabiul Islam, 20, hailed from Brahmanbaria and their residence located at Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) area, Government Railway Police (GRP) sources said.
Quoting witnesses, Officer-in-Charge Yasin Faruk of GRP told the Dhaka Tribune, locals found the bodies at 10:30am.
He said: “On information, police rushed to the spots and recovered Faruk’s body from Bortakia area and body of Rabiul was recovered from Nizampur area in the upazila at noon.
The bodies were sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy the OC said adding that an investigation has been initiated in this regard.
