Four people have died and 15 others injured after a bus lost control and turned over in Sonargaon upazila, Narayanganj on Wednesday morning.
Three of the deceased were identified as bus helper Jony, garment workers Hasan and Parul Akther.
Sonargaon police Officer-in-Charge Riazul Haque has endorsed the information and said the injured have been taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The Comilla-bound bus from Dhaka lost control on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway and turned over near Tribuddi area around 8am, he said. “The four died on the spot.”
Locals rescued the injured and took them to DMCH, he added. Two of the bodies were at Sonargaon police station, the others were being taken there.
