A worker has electrocuted and 15 others were injured in New Market Crossing area in the port city of Chittagong on Monday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Parvin Akter, 30, hailed from Bahaddarhat of Chittagong.
Md Zahirul Alam, in-charge of police outpost of Chattagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) confirmed about the death incident.
SI Rafiqul Islam of Kotwali police station said the incident took place when an electric wire of 11000 voltage tore and fell on them while working in the market expansion at 5:15pm.
Of the injured, four have been admitted in CMCH in critical condition.
