A total of 48 members of parliament who have been elected uncontested for reserved women seats of the 10th parliament have been sworn in on Sunday.
Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhuy administered the oath at the parliament premises at 11am.
The Election Commission declared the women winners on Wednesday, after scrutinising the nominations. A gazettee was published the next day.
Among the winners, 38 are from ruling Awami League, one each from Workers' Party of Bangladesh and JaSoD, five from Jatiya Party and three independent.
Nominations of the Sabiha Nahar Begum, from Awami League, and Korshed Ara Haq, from Jatiya Party, were cancelled for telephone bill default.
