At least 10 people were injured in a road accident at Ramna in the capital Dhaka on Friday.
Ramna police station Sub-Inspector Azam Ali said the accident took place in the afternoon when a private car suddenly took a U-turn and came in front of a bus of ‘Shikar Paribahan’. The bus driver lost control over the steering and rammed the private car. Both the vehicles were badly damaged in the accident, he added.
Of the injured, bus passenger Nazma Akter and car driver Joynal Abedin Faruk were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital while the others given first aid.
Police arrested the bus driver whose identity could not be known immediately.
