The bodies of three Bangladesh nationals, who died in a fire that broke out in their accommodation at Manama of Bahrain last month, will arrive at Dhaka on Saturday evening.
Confirming the matter, Jahidul Islam, assistant director of Expatriate Welfare Desk at Shahjalal International Airport, said the plane carrying the bodies will land at around 8:30pm.
The deceased were Dulal Mia, 30, son of Siddiqur Rahman from Mainamati union’s Ziapur village in Burchang upazila of Comilla, Jalal Uddin, 30, son of Abdul Gafur from Rampur village of Varel union under the same upazila and Mosharraf Hossain, 32, son of Nazim Mia from the same village.
On February 28, three Bangladesh nationals died while two more were injured in the fire incident that took place in a residential building in Manama.
Separate fire incidents in the last two years have claimed the lives of 26 Bangladeshis working in Bahrain.
Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) statistics show a total of 275,691 Bangladeshis have gone to Bahrain since 1976.
