'No Bangladeshi on missing Malaysia plane'

There are no Bangladeshi nationals found so far in the list of the missing 239 passengers of the Malaysian Airlines that lost contact with air traffic controllers early on Saturday.

Malaysia based New Straits Times has released a primary list of the 239 passengers who were on board in the Malaysian Airlines MH370 aircraft.

The list included nationals from 14 different countries, but not from Bangladesh.

However, an official confirmation from either the government of Malaysia or Bangladesh was pending.

The Beijing-bound flight took off from Kuala Lumpur around 12:21am (Malaysia time) and lost contact with base about two hours after the take off.

According to the report, there were 152 and an infant of Chinese nationality, 38 from Malaysia, 12 of Indonesia, seven from Australia and three from France.

Three people and an infant were said to be from the United States, two from New Zealand, Ukraine and Canada each and one from Russia, Italy, Taiwan, Netherlands and Austria.

The remaining are said to be 12 crew members of the airlines.
