A newborn baby boy has been rescued from the capital’s Motijheel area on Tuesday morning.
The two-day old baby was rescued from a road in front of Pubali Bank’s head office in Motijheel.
A cleaner of the bank noticed the baby, wrapped in a cloth, moving his body on the road and informed the police.
Later, the police rescued the baby and sent him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 11:30am.
Confirming about the recovery, DMCH outpost in-charge Mozzamel Hoque said: “The baby has been admitted to the Children’s ward of the hospital.”
