The High Court has halted the execution of a notice issued by Chittagong deputy commission which had ordered the locals of Koroldenga village to remove the Buddhist temples and cemetery form the area.
Justice Mirza Hossain Haider and Justice Khurshed Alam Sorkar passed the order on Monday afternoon in response to a writ petition.
On February 12, Chittagong deputy commission had issued asking the locals of Korolganga village to remove the Buddhist temples and cemetery form the area within seven days otherwise it would be evicted.
BM Ilias Hossain had moved for the petitioner’s side.
