A teenager’s Facebook status has cost her father a whopping $80,000 in Miami, United States, reports Business Insider quoting the Miami Herald.
“Mama and Papa Snay won the case against Gulliver. Gulliver is now officially paying for my vacation to Europe this summer,” was the teenager Dana Snay’s status.
Her father Patrick Snay served as a headmaster for Gulliver Preparatory School for several years when they chose not to renew his contract. He sued the school.
The issue of the case was settled at the court under condition that the family keep the “terms and existence” of the age-discrimination agreement private.
Gulliver’s lawyers jumped at the opportunity and got back at the headmaster two -folds for divulging the deal to his daughter and his daughter broadcasting it to all her “friends.”
