Police recovered a body from Jessore Sadar upazila on Friday night.
The victim’s family claimed it to be a murder case but law enforcers stated a case of road accident.
The victim was identified as Khairul Haque, 60, from Chaugachha upazila and driver of a battery-run auto-rickshaw by profession.
The body was recovered from roadside in Jaghati area around 9pm on Friday, Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge Emdadul Haque Shikh said.
“We heard from the locals that he died in a road accident. But the family are claiming that the driver has been murdered,” the OC added.
The body has been sent to Jessore Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
