After years of waiting, Sazzad Haider, a writer and journalist, has begun filming his first movie on the 1971 Liberation War Hridoy Chhoar Din.
Sazzad has aimed to make the film based on his novel Hridoy Chhoar Din with the same title. From scripting to directing, Sazzad is performing an all-round role in making the cinema.
Sazzad told to the Dhaka Tribune: “We wanted to film the movie last year. But, the shooting was deferred for the political unrest and violence.
As the political situation now seems improved, we have begun the shooting again in Shirajdikhan of Munshiganj district,” he added.
DJ Media is producing the film where the main casts are Upama, Shawkat Milon and Moon. Agun is the action director of the film while Elbert Khan is the dance director. Masud Iqbal is directing the process of portraying liberation war scenes into the film.
Sajjad said: “The film will bring the real image of the liberation war as well as it will be a sophisticated representation of the history of our liberation movement.”
