Local administration has identified all the polling centers in Shahajahanpur, Khaloo, Shibgonj and Adamdighi upazilas of the Bogra district as vulnerable.
The district police have admitted to this and said the administration has decided to deploy more than six thousand forces as well as 15 mobile teams in four upazilas ahead of the second phase of upazila parishad elections scheduled for February 27.
Bogra police media cell head Md. Gaziur Rahman said the district administration has taken this decision in order to ensure foolproof security during the poll.
District Intelligence Office (DIO) source said all of the 278 centers in upcoming four upazilas in Bogra district were identified as vulnerable. Of those, 98 were identified as high risk.
