St Gregory’s and Sunnydale win school handball

St. Gregory’s High School retained the title of the boys’ Mini Handball title while Sunnydale emerged as the champions in the girls’ section after winning their respective finals yesterday.

At the M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium yesterday, Gregory’s defeated Dhaka Residential Model School 23-15 to clinch the title. The champions led the first half 10-7. Diganta of Gregory’s was adjudged the player of the tournament.

BAF Shaheen School outplayed Sunnydale by 20-13 in the third-place deciding match.

Meanwhile in the girls’ final, Sunnydale beat Scholastica by 4-2 to lift the Mini Handball title for a record third time. Scholastica have been the runners-up in the last four editions of the tournament.
