Training for the unemployed soon

The government will open training centres for officials and the unemployed population in a bid to boost the efficiency of the civil administration and speed up development of the country.
A national council for training has been formed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in this regard. A cabinet order was issued in this regard on Monday.
The council will prepare a national training policy by analysing, evaluating and amending the existing policies and suggest the priorities for the government.
The initiative is the first of its kind and aimed for raising an efficient administration and qualified exportable manpower.
Premier Hasina will be the chairman of the 21-member council.
The finance, agriculture, health and expatriate welfare ministers and junior labour, public administration and foreign affairs ministers will be members.
Chairmen of University Grant Commission and Public Service Commission, cabinet secretary, principal secretary to the premier, Bangladesh Bank governor, Dhaka University vice-chancellor and Bangladesh Association of Training and Development president will also be the member of the council.
Other members are the public administration secretary, the education secretary, the director of the public administration training center, the member of socio-economic infrastructure division of the planning commission and the health secretary.
Additional secretary to the public administration ministry will be the member secretary of the council to give secretarial assistance.
