Ministers asked to attend JS session

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has asked all of the ministers to assure their attendance in the parliament session, if they stay in Dhaka.

The premier made the directive at the regular cabinet meeting at the secretariat on Monday.

The ministers were also asked to do their official works, if it is necessary to do, in their parliament office while the parliament session resumes, a minister who attended the cabinet meeting told the Dhaka Tribune seeking anonymity.

The directive was come in the time while the session of parliament is running and the ministers are blamed for not attending the sittings of the session.

“It would not be acceptable for the ministers to not attend the parliament sitting while they will stay in Dhaka. The ministers were asked to attend their parliament office for doing emergency works during the parliament sitting,” he added.
