Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have detained three people with arms and ammunition from the Leda area under Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Monday morning.
The detainees have been identified as Hasim, Hossain and Hasina.
Meanwhile, a pistol, a gun and two rounds of ammunition have been recovered from their possession. Lieutenant Colonel Abujar Al-Jahid, commander of BGB 42, said: “Acting on tip-off, BGB personnel detained them with arms from the Leda area around 8:30am.”
He said the detainees were later handed over to Teknaf police.
