Three committees have been recommended for the security for flats housing lawmakers in the capital, the parliamentary committee decided.
The suggestion was made in the second meeting of the parliamentary committee of the tenth parliament on Sunday afternoon, the information ministry said.
The meeting discussed in details the allocation of flats to lawmakers of the tenth parliament at the housing facilities located on Manik Mia Avenue and Nakhalpara.
Recommendations were made for allocation in accordance to the ratio of lawmakers from each party, the information ministry handout said.
Those lawmakers without a housing facility in the capital will get priority for allocation of flats.
Three five-member committees were recommended for the security purpose of lawmakers living in the flats at Nakhalpara and Manik Mia Avenue.
Committee members Md Abdus Shahid, Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury, Shagufta Yeasmin, Md Tajul Islam Chowdhury, Fazle Hossain Badshah and Panchanan Biswas were among those present in the meeting chaired by Chief Whip ASM Feroz.
