Milky murder: SC stays Lopa’s bail order

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has stayed the order of bail for Fahima Islam Lopa, a suspect in the murder case of Jubo League leader Reazul Haque Khan Milky.

Chamber Judge Hasan Foyez Siddikki stayed Lopa’s bail for four weeks.

Attorney General Mahbube Alam moved for the government and Deputy Attorney General Khandakar Diliruzzaman assisted him.

On February 9, the High Court granted six months’ ad-interim bail to Lopa in the case.

Lopawas arrested from her Dhanmondi residence on August 3 last year for assisting Jubo League leader Zahid Siddiki Tarek, who was the key accused in the Milky murder case.

A gang of armed criminals gunned down Milky, former organising secretary of Dhaka city (south) Jubo League, in the capital’s Gulshan last year.
