PM attends labour ministry office

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended her office at the Labour and Employment Ministry on Sunday, her first meeting at the ministry.

The PM arrived at the labour ministry offices at 10:30am.

She’s now holding a meeting with the officials of the ministry. It is expected that she will stay there till 2:30pm.

In her inaugural speech, Hasina directed the officials concerned to establish a labour welfare committee comprising of owners and the employees in EPZ along with other places where the formation of trade unions is problematic. 

She said: “The government will form industrial areas in seven districts.”
