The by-election in Tangail 8 constituency will be held on March 23.
Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad announced the schedule during a press conference at the Election Commission Secretariat on Thursday afternoon.
According to the schedule, the last date of filing nomination papers is February 23, which will be scrutinised within February 26. The last day for having nominations withdrawn is March 6.
The constituency was vacated following the death of Awami League lawmaker Shawkat Momen Shajahan on January 18.
