A woman and her two-year-old daughter were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway in Katra of Mirzapur Upazila, Tangail on Monday afternoon.
The deceased were Kamala, 27, wife of Rubel Mia, and her daughter Rozina.
Sub-Inspector Mojammel Hossain of Gorai Highway Police said a passenger bus ran over the mother and child while they were crossing the road sometime near 4:30pm. The accident left them dead on the spot.
