Ruling Awami League lawmaker Shamim Osman invited LGRD Minister Moshiur Rahman Ranga for a cup of coffee while urging for development in his constituency.
“I thought I might be unnoticed despite 6.2feet my height,” he told Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury after he was allowed to state his question at the parliament on Tuesday.
“I thought I would miss the train of the session like Khaleda Zia lost the polls-train.”
“I would like to invite the minister for a cup of coffee, and maybe lunch, to ask him to visit the condition of roads in my area,” he told to teh LGRD minister.
In an equal reply, Minister Ranga said: “I am not interested in coffee, but Lassi (a cold drink made in combination of yoghurt, ice and sugar) would do.”
Shamim Osman emerged the member of parliament from Narayanganj-4 constituency after the 10th general elections held on January 5.
