BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has claimed that over 300 activists of the BNP-led alliance have fallen victim to killings and disappearances from December 26 to January 27.
The BNP chief made the claim in her Tuesday afternoon press conference.
“According to the information collected by the BNP office, 242 individuals have been killed while 60 have simply disappeared,” said Khaleda.
She alleged that the government was killing the leaders and activists of her party.
Citing police, Khaleda said 22,000 leaders and activists have been arrested in the drives conducted by the joint forces.
Referring to Ain o Salish kendra, she also said the number of the arrested activists of the BNP and its alliance is 29,262.
“The activities of law enforcers in plain cloth have significantly increased after the election,” Khaleda said.
